Poppy cupcakes appropriate for this time of year, but actually for a little girl called Poppy as she celebrates her first birthday.
The autumn leaves were made by colouring petal paste in green, brown, red and orange and then ‘titivating’ them by dabbing a mixture of edible lustres to try and give them a bit of depth of colour.

This is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling and decorated to look like a birthday present. Everything is edible apart from the wires.
