A wintry tree stump cake to round off the week. Made as an after lunch dessert, the cake was a vanilla sponge with jam filling and decorated with coloured vanilla buttercream to look like a tree stump, Rosemary sprigs and red currants to resemble winter foliage and some edible dried violas.
