A two tier cake in celebration of Jonny Walker, founding director of the charity Keep Streets Live. An evening of music, poetry, celebration and fundraising was held in remembrance of him yesterday at St. George’s in Leeds.

Claire’s mum’s 70th

Claire’s mum’s 70th birthday cake. Chocolate cake (special request from the grandkids!) and incorporating a beautiful spray of flowers which I believe the birthday girl’s mum made many years ago.

Ollie and Dave’s wedding

Ollie and Dave’s Wedding cake. Three tiers of sponge cake, top and bottom tiers are vanilla sponge with vanilla bean cream and the middle tier is a moist lemon with lemon buttercream. Decorated in soft white fondant with hand made peonies and roses in a mixture of coral and ivory colours.

Sonny’s first birthday

A very last minute order for little Sonny’s first birthday. Vanilla sponge, with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling, covered in soft royal blue fondant and decorated all along the side with cute fondant cars and clouds. And just because I felt like it his name in a 1960’s font!

Glamorous Jennifer

A ‘glamorous’ cake for Jennifer’s 21st Birthday. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, covered in soft white fondant with modelling paste shoes, fondant bag and a hand drawn Happy Hour flier in edible ink onto wafer paper.

Clare’s musical cake

A little surprise birthday cake for Clare. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. Happy Birthday sheet music hand drawn onto edible wafer paper with edible ink, fondant bunting and children’s toy instruments (around the sides).

Eat cake, you must

A Star Wars themed cake for Jake’s 21st birthday. Really enjoyed making this one. Cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream covered in soft fondant with fondant and modelling paste figures and a fondant Death Star.

Austin Healey

A very charming and lovely man celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this month and is celebrating with family this weekend. His two year old grandson Henry came along on a secret mission to collect granddad’s cake this morning and was quite pleased with it, more pleased with the Lego Technics digger in the corner but then again he is a 2-year-old boy!

Richard’s toolbox

Richard celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday in fine style with family and friends. Angela wanted him to have a cake reflecting two of his hobbies; DIY and cycling so here it is!

Dan’s 18th

Happy Birthday to Dan who celebrated his 18th last week. Both cakes were a light, moist, lemon sponge. Numbers were made with royal icing and a few fondant ones, with fondant starts on wires. A number 18 sparkler candle finishes it off.

Jack’s 21st

A 21st birthday cake for Jack who will be celebrating with family tonight. According to his mum this is exactly how he sleeps and keeps his room ‘tidy’!
